Leveraging the power of manipulated photography, the exhibition presents ethereal realms that seamlessly blend fantasy with reality, providing viewers with an immersive escape from the everyday.
Hawaiian locations are an integral part of several of Karen Hochman Brown’s artworks featured in “Cloud Renewal.” Hochman Brown is devastated at the loss of life and livelihood of the people on Maui due to the current fires. She will be donating half of the sale price of her featured piece, “Dusk on Honolua Bay with Roses”, to Direct Relief, a humanitarian aid organization mobilizing assistance to those on Maui in need.
Karen Hochman Brown is a digital artist from Los Angeles. She masterfully integrates photography with digital techniques, resulting in artworks that exude balance and vibrancy. She studied art at Pitzer College, California College of Art and Art Center College of Design, but self-developed her processes through experimentation, relying heavily on skills learned as a graphic designer. She finds inspiration from Georgia O’Keeffe, Maxfield Parrish, Salvador Dalí, Hilma af Klint and Agnes Pelton. Her works have been exhibited in venues ranging from MOAH:CEDAR to LA Metro trains.
